Conditions of Entry
The levies paid by the race organisers to Scottish Athletics Ltd will be used directly to benefit member athletics in Scotland.
- Conditions and event instructions: By entering the run you agree to abide by the
Conditions of Entry and any instructions given to you by the organisers and
officials of the Balmoral Road Races.
- Entry Limit:
Applications will be accepted up to the entry limit in order of date received.
Entries will be rejected after the closing date of 9 April 2008.
- Entry Fee: If
your entry is accepted your fee is not refundable. Refunds will only be
eligible if supported by a doctors's note and if received by the 16 April
2008. All refunds will be liable to a £2.00 administration charge. Your
doctor's note should be sent to Balmoral Road Races, Aberdeenshire Council,
Education & Recreation, Gordon House, Blackhall Road, Inverurie AB51 3WA.
Refunds will not be possible for any other eventuality.
- Medical Condition: All participants are strongly advised to consult their
doctor prior to undertaking any exercise programme or running event.
- Event mementos:
Only finishers will receive a commemorative medal.Run numbers are NOT
interchangeable. Non-participants are NOT eligible for event numbers.
- For reason of safety: No entries are permissible from people on roller skates, in
wheelbarrows, pushchairs, carrying objects for charity, etc.
- No pets, dogs or horse: Only people with a guide dog will be permitted and if we are
advised, a position at the rear of the field will be allocated.
- Your name will be
added to our mailing list so that we can keep you informed about future events
and services. This information may also be made available to other carefully
screened organisations to contact you. If you prefer your name not to be
included please write to Balmoral Road Races.
- Data Protection:
Balmoral Road Races complies with the Data Protection Act 1988 and you have
the right of access to your personal records held on the computer.
- Use of Image: By
entering the run you give permission for the free use of your name, voice or
picture in any broadcast, telecast, advertising promotion or other account of
this event.
- Event cancellation: If the event is cancelled or delayed due to unforeseen
circumstances we will endeavour to stage the event at a later date. In such
circumstances we will try to let you know in writing of the cancellation or
delay. Our entire liability in respect of all costs and expenses you may incur
as a result of such cancellation or delay will be the entry price you have
paid to take part in the event. Listen to Local Radio for details.
- Race numbers: The
swapping of race numbers is strictly prohibited and participants must complete
their details and sign the back of the race number prior to the event. Race
numbers will be sent out approximately 2 weeks before the event.
- Change of address: If your address details change after you have submitted your
application you must notify Balmoral Road Races accordingly with details of
your old and new details and date of birth.
- The 5K Run: For partially sighted persons who wish to make a verbal entry or receive the form in a larger font size, contact Fiona or Elaine, Sports Development on 01467 628283.
